National Minimum Wage

  

We could not start a Pay Scales page without reminding you that there was an increase in the National Minimum Wage in October 2007. Here is an age related National Minimum Wage guide for you. 

  

  • 16/17 year olds - Development rate  £3.40/hour
  • 18-21 year olds - Development rate  £4.60/hour
  • 22 and over       - Main rate               £5.52/hour

  

NB: 16 and 17 year old apprentices are exempt from the young workers rate.
