Practitioners who work with parents in a whole range of contexts will soon be caught NAPP-ing. The National Academy for Parenting Practitioners (NAPP) opened in Autumn 2007. So what is it all about?

 

  • The National Academy for Parenting Practitioners is a National Centre  
  • NAPP supports the government's parenting agenda.  
  • NAPP was announced in the Respect Action Plan in January 2006.
  • NAPP is provided by the Family and Parenting Institute, Parenting UK and King's College London.
  • NAPP is a source of advice on high-quality academic research evidence on parenting and parenting support
  • NAPP offers practical knowledge of what works for parents and practitioners. 
  • NAPP provide training for a range of professionals, including social workers, clinical psychologists, community safety officers and youth justice workers.
  • NAPP offer support for the parenting workforce.
