How to get an Outstanding OfSTED 4 February 2008

How to be get an OUTSTANDING OfSTEd

First of all you need an honest assessment of where you are at now - a baseline assessment. Your recent OfSTEd report is an ideal starting point. If you had your OfSTEd a while ago you will be making progress towards our action points. What you need now is an 'outsider' to evaluate your current position.

For example, you may have been working on improving your llnks with parents so you need to know how well you are doing. The best way to get an honest opinion is for the 'outsider' to ask the parents. In that way no-one is embarrassed and individual comments are made anonymous in the reporting of the feedback to your team.

Choosing an 'Outsider'

The person you invite from outside to support your quest for OUTSTANDING OfSTEd recognition, must have wisdom and integrity to deal with sensitive issues that will almost certainly may arise. They must catch your childcare vision and encourage you and your staff to work together to achieve it.

Finally you need someone who you can trust to bring that vital freshional approach to evaluating your current position.  Someone who quickly builds positive relationships with your Early Years team, to help you effect changes which will take you closer to that OUTSTANDING OfSTEd.

Choose ProCEEd Early Years Consultant, Margaret Simms M.Ed. Cert. Ed. for wisdom, integrity, experience and that vital freshional approach which makes working with ProCEEd child's play.
