Nottingham Mummies Group Testing Chart                                  21 March 2008

Hello Nottingham Mummies,

We were talking on www.netmums.com about Mother and Baby/Toddler groups, and I promised to make you a Group Testing Chart to help you focus on how well each group meets rather than on your own lack of confidence. Mums, dads, grandparents and childminders all need a confidence boost sometimes.

Find out where the toddler groups and children's activities are in your area.

The library is a good place to start, so is www.childrenslink.org.uk

Make a Group Testing Chart

List all of the groups you can find on to your chart.

Decide what you need from a group.

Commit yourself to testing out each group. Your Group Testing Chart will be personal to you.

Take your Group Testing Chart to each group. Tick off the things that are good about each group and keep the things you don't like to yourself for now.

You can adapt the chart however you like and use it freely with my compliments. Why not start today?

Your Group Testing Chart will become a talking point and people will probably want to copy your idea - that is good. Someone once said that copying is the highest form of compliment. The best thing is that while you are busy with your list your child will be playing and your confidence will be increasing by itself.

Let me know if you found the chart useful.
